Don't Envy

Many teenagers and young adults only see their friends' material wealth and their apparent freedom to enjoy "the good life". But they do not see their spiritual and moral poverty. Consequently, many of the poorer ones yearn to be like their friends but feel bitter when their desires are not fulfilled. Hear then what our heavenly Father says, "You, my child, are of more lasting value than a yuppy's lifestyle. Don't envy it."

Meditation:

Isaiah 43:1-7
"...Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flame will not set you ablaze...Bring My sons from afar and My daughters from the ends of the earth - everyone who is called by My name, whom I created for My glory, whom I formed and made."

Jeremiah 1:4-8
"...'Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart....'"
