One morning, as I prepared to partake the Lord’s supper with my brethren at a retreat, the Saviour met me at the table with bread and “wine”, knelt beside me with His arms over my shoulder and gently said,

“My beloved, do not feel unworthy to sup with Me. Remember…..what you couldn’t do for yourself I have done for you on the cross. I am not only your Saviour and Lord, I am your Brother too. Am I not totally worthy of your trust and dependence on Me to care for you always?

Come, My sister, eat of this bread and drink of this wine in remembrance of Me till I come again with My angels to take you our Father’s house!”

Meditation:

Luke 22:14-20

“….I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffered. For I tell you, I will not eat it again until it finds fulfilment in the kingdom of God.”

Luke 22:14-20

“When He was at the table with them, He took bread, gave thanks, broke it and began to give it to them.”
